Manual turnouts change the direction of the rail only when you flip a lever on the switch by hand. This standard N scale manual turnout can be easily converted to remote control with the #2716 (right hand) switch machines. Standard turnouts have a continuous radius curve on the diverging route unlike the numbered turnouts fixed angle of departure.
